taken in parallel, only in the first term):
SYLLABUS:
- levels of linguistic description, language as a collection of (linguistic) phenomena, description of language as an account of the interaction of
linguistic phenomena
- basic structure of a simple Czech sentence (description of basic word order and valency)
- simple feature structure, unification, lexicon
- description of subject-predicate agreement in a simple sentence
- complex feature structure, linguistic categories as a hierarchy of types
- semantic interpretation of language expressions
- description of a simple free modification (adverbial, congruent attribute)
- abstract description of valency, formal tools for a general description of valency frames
- list as a feature value, disjunction
- case assignment
